Draw something!” – I usually find yourself drawing a rose, or sometimes a rainbow, however I’m stumped. I feel the same way with a giant blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! What have you been likely to draw on a huge blank driveway!? (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).
We have a big box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to share with you the truth, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I think the situation (besides our creativity) is that people have an outdoor patio stone driveway and the same with this patio in the backyard. So the kids take the chalk colours and fill in most the little, rectangular bricks in numerous colours. Sometimes they venture to the play house attached with their swing set and they’ll colour the walls within too (they’re not likely to, but wow, they really moved fast that first-time before I noticed, and now they know they can get away with it. Little tricksters…)
If there clearly was just one item to get us through the long summer days, it would be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not merely can it be super inexpensive, but it’s ideal for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better than the usual “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!

And the other of our baby sitters let the children colour a several bricks on our home last year. That has been a poor idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your home unless you want to get a scrub brush and figure out how to have it all off. It’s been there for pretty much a year now, and even with pelting rains and a lot of snow storms it’s as bright as your day it happened. I guess I really could find a scrub brush and scrub it off, but who has the full time for that??
