Would you get a mental block when you have a blank canvas before you? And your kids assert, “Draw something! Draw something!” – I usually end up drawing a flower, or sometimes a rainbow, however I’m stumped. I’m the exact same way with a huge blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! What are you currently supposed to draw on a huge blank driveway!? (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).

We have a huge box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to share with you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I think the situation (besides our creativity) is that individuals have an outdoor patio stone driveway and the exact same with our patio in the backyard. So the youngsters take the chalk colours and fill in all the tiny, rectangular bricks in different colours. Sometimes they venture in to the play house attached to their swing set and they’ll colour the walls inside too (they’re not designed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first-time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to get away with it. Little tricksters…)

And the other of our baby sitters let the children colour a few of the bricks on our house last year. That has been a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your house unless you wish to get a polish brush and work out how to obtain all of it off. It’s been there for nearly annually now, and despite having pelting rains and lots of snow storms it’s as bright as the afternoon it happened. I suppose I possibly could find a polish brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??
