Would you get a mental block when you have an empty canvas facing you? And your kids are saying, “Draw something! Draw something!” – I usually end up drawing a rose, or sometimes a rainbow, however I’m stumped. Personally i think the exact same way with a giant blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! What are you currently designed to draw on a huge blank driveway!? (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).

We have a large box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to share with you the reality, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the issue (besides our creativity) is that we have a patio stone driveway and exactly the same with our patio in the backyard. So the children take the chalk colours and fill in every the tiny, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture in to the play house attached for their swing set and they’ll colour the walls inside too (they’re not supposed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to escape with it. Little tricksters…)

If there is only one item to obtain us through the long summer days, it will be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not only is it super inexpensive, but it’s great for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better than the usual “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!

We’ve pulled together our favorite sidewalk chalk ideas into an epic listing of learning activities, games, imagination spark-ers, and get-them-active ideas that’ll keep your chalk repertoire fresh all summer long. And many totally cool interactive chalk art that you don’t wish to miss!

So grab your box of chalk and head outside with your kids all day of nonstop fun!

And the other of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a several bricks on our house last year. That has been a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your home unless you intend to get a wash brush and work out how to have all of it off. It’s been there for almost a year now, and even with pelting rains and a lot of snow storms it’s as bright as the afternoon it happened. Perhaps I possibly could find a polish brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??

This list is fantastic if you’ll need a little bit of inspiration to take your sidewalk chalk from a boring game of X’s and O’s or hopscotch to a fun “Wow, that’s so amazing!” adventure! There are tons of great ideas! And better yet, you are able to have a photograph from a second floor window and keep the memory as a keepsake! I enjoy these ideas!

From princess crowns to under sea adventures, you will find loads of fun ideas to help you create a whole new world in your driveway!
