Can you get a mental block when you yourself have a clear canvas facing you? And your children assert, “Draw something! Draw something!” – I usually wind up drawing a rose, or sometimes a range, but then I’m stumped. Personally i think the exact same way with a huge blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! What have you been likely to draw on a huge blank driveway!? (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).
We’ve a big box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to inform you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the situation (besides our creativity) is that individuals have an outdoor patio stone driveway and exactly the same with your patio in the backyard. So the kids take the chalk colours and fill in most the tiny, rectangular bricks in numerous colours. Sometimes they venture in to the play house attached for their swing set and they’ll colour the walls within too (they’re not supposed to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to get away with it. Little tricksters…)

And the other of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a some of the bricks on the house last year. That has been a poor idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your house unless you wish to get a polish brush and work out how to have it all off. This has been there for pretty much annually now, and despite having pelting rains and a lot of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. I guess I really could find a polish brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??
