(I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).

We have a large box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to inform you the reality, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the issue (besides our creativity) is that people have an outdoor patio stone driveway and exactly the same with our patio in the backyard. So the kids take the chalk colours and fill in every the little, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached with their swing set and they’ll colour the walls in there too (they’re not supposed to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to escape with it. Little tricksters…)

And then one of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a few of the bricks on the house last year. Which was a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your house unless you intend to get a polish brush and work out how to get all of it off. It’s been there for nearly a year now, and despite having pelting rains and lots of snow storms it’s as bright as the afternoon it happened. I guess I could find a wash brush and scrub it off, but who has the full time for that??
