These sidewalk chalk ideas are so awesome! Seriously, many people so creative!? There are so many fun ideas and so many great photo opportunities! I wish we had an asphalt driveway so we could try more of these out at home!
Can you get a mental block when you have a clear canvas in front of you? And the kids are saying, “Draw something! Draw something!” – I usually end up drawing a rose, or sometimes a rainbow, but then I’m stumped. I’m exactly the same way with a huge blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! What have you been designed to draw on a giant blank driveway!? (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).
We have a large box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to tell you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I think the issue (besides our creativity) is that people have an outdoor patio stone driveway and the exact same with this patio in the backyard. So the youngsters take the chalk colours and fill in all the small, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached with their swing set and they’ll colour the walls in there too (they’re not likely to, but wow, they really moved fast that first time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to get away with it. Little tricksters…)
If there is only 1 item to get us through the long summer days, it would be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not merely can it be super inexpensive, but it’s perfect for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better than a “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!
We’ve pulled together well known sidewalk chalk ideas into an epic set of learning activities, games, imagination spark-ers, and get-them-active ideas which will keep your chalk repertoire fresh all summer long. Plus some totally cool interactive chalk art you do not wish to miss!
So grab your box of chalk and head outside with the kids all day of nonstop fun!
And then one of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a some of the bricks on our home last year. That has been a poor idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your house unless you want to get a polish brush and work out how to have everything off. It’s been there for nearly per year now, and despite having pelting rains and a lot of snow storms it’s as bright as your day it happened. I suppose I really could find a scrub brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??
This list is fantastic if you will need a little inspiration to take your sidewalk chalk from a boring game of X’s and O’s or hopscotch to a fun “Wow, that’s so amazing!” adventure! There are tons of great ideas! And better yet, you can have a photograph from another floor window and keep the memory as a keepsake! I really like these ideas!
From princess crowns to under sea adventures, you will find lots of fun ideas to help you produce a whole new world in your driveway!
