We’ve a big box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to tell you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I think the problem (besides our creativity) is that individuals have an outdoor stone driveway and exactly the same with this patio in the backyard. So the children take the chalk colours and fill in every the little, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture to the play house attached for their swing set and they’ll colour the walls within too (they’re not supposed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first time before I noticed, and now they know they can break free with it. Little tricksters…)

And the other of our baby sitters let the kids colour a some of the bricks on our house last year. That has been a poor idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you want to get a scrub brush and work out how to get all of it off. This has been there for nearly a year now, and despite having pelting rains and plenty of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. Perhaps I really could find a polish brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??
