Would you get a mental block if you have a bare canvas in front of you? And your children are saying, “Draw something! Draw something!” – I usually find yourself drawing a rose, or sometimes a rainbow, but I’m stumped. Personally i think the exact same way with a huge blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! What have you been supposed to draw on a huge blank driveway!? (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).
We have a huge box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to tell you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I do believe the situation (besides our creativity) is that individuals have a patio stone driveway and the exact same with our patio in the backyard. So the youngsters take the chalk colours and fill in most the tiny, rectangular bricks in numerous colours. Sometimes they venture to the play house attached for their swing set and they’ll colour the walls inside too (they’re not likely to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they can get away with it. Little tricksters…)

And then one of our baby sitters let the children colour a few of the bricks on our home last year. That was a bad idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you want to get a wash brush and work out how to have it all off. This has been there for almost a year now, and despite pelting rains and plenty of snow storms it’s as bright as your day it happened. I suppose I really could find a polish brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??
