We’ve a big box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to share with you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the issue (besides our creativity) is that we have a patio stone driveway and exactly the same with this patio in the backyard. So the youngsters take the chalk colours and fill in every the tiny, rectangular bricks in numerous colours. Sometimes they venture to the play house attached with their swing set and they’ll colour the walls inside too (they’re not supposed to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they can get away with it. Little tricksters…)

And then one of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a some of the bricks on the house last year. That has been a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you intend to get a wash brush and figure out how to have everything off. It’s been there for pretty much a year now, and despite pelting rains and lots of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. Perhaps I possibly could find a scrub brush and scrub it off, but who has enough time for that??
