Draw something!” – I usually end up drawing a rose, or sometimes a rainbow, but I’m stumped. I feel exactly the same way with a huge blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! We’ve a large box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to inform you the truth, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the situation (besides our creativity) is that people have an outdoor patio stone driveway and the exact same with this patio in the backyard. So the children take the chalk colours and fill in all the tiny, rectangular bricks in different colours. Sometimes they venture in to the play house attached for their swing set and they’ll colour the walls in there too (they’re not designed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first-time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to get away with it. Little tricksters…)

And the other of our baby sitters let the children colour a few of the bricks on our house last year. That has been a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you wish to get a wash brush and work out how to get everything off. It’s been there for nearly annually now, and despite pelting rains and lots of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. Perhaps I possibly could find a scrub brush and scrub it off, but who has the full time for that??
