(I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).
We’ve a big box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to share with you the truth, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the situation (besides our creativity) is that we have a patio stone driveway and the same with our patio in the backyard. So the youngsters take the chalk colours and fill in every the little, rectangular bricks in different colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached with their swing set and they’ll colour the walls within too (they’re not likely to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they could get away with it. Little tricksters…)

And then one of our baby sitters let the children colour a some of the bricks on our house last year. That has been a bad idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you wish to get a polish brush and work out how to have everything off. It’s been there for pretty much per year now, and despite having pelting rains and plenty of snow storms it’s as bright as the afternoon it happened. I guess I could find a wash brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??
