Would you get a mental block when you yourself have an empty canvas in front of you? And your children are saying, “Draw something! Draw something!” – I usually find yourself drawing a rose, or sometimes a rainbow, however I’m stumped. Personally i think the same way with a huge blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! What are you currently designed to draw on a giant blank driveway!? (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).
We’ve a large box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to share with you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the issue (besides our creativity) is that people have a patio stone driveway and the exact same with this patio in the backyard. So the children take the chalk colours and fill in most the little, rectangular bricks in different colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached with their swing set and they’ll colour the walls within too (they’re not supposed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to escape with it. Little tricksters…)

And the other of our baby sitters let the children colour a several bricks on our home last year. That was a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you want to get a wash brush and work out how to have everything off. This has been there for pretty much a year now, and despite pelting rains and plenty of snow storms it’s as bright as your day it happened. I guess I could find a scrub brush and scrub it off, but who has the full time for that??
