Would you get a mental block when you yourself have a bare canvas before you? And the kids say, “Draw something! Draw something!” – I usually find yourself drawing a rose, or sometimes a rainbow, however I’m stumped. I’m the exact same way with a giant blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! What are you currently likely to draw on a huge blank driveway!? (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).
We have a large box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to inform you the truth, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the issue (besides our creativity) is that individuals have an outdoor stone driveway and exactly the same with this patio in the backyard. So the kids take the chalk colours and fill in every the tiny, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture in to the play house attached for their swing set and they’ll colour the walls in there too (they’re not supposed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first-time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to escape with it. Little tricksters…)
If there was just one item to obtain us through the long summer days, it would be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not just could it be super inexpensive, but it’s ideal for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better than the usual “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!

So grab your box of chalk and head outside with your kids all night of nonstop fun!
And then one of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a some of the bricks on our house last year. That was a poor idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your home unless you want to get a wash brush and figure out how to obtain all of it off. This has been there for pretty much a year now, and despite having pelting rains and lots of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. Perhaps I really could find a polish brush and scrub it off, but who has the full time for that??
