We’ve a large box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to inform you the reality, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the issue (besides our creativity) is that we have an outdoor patio stone driveway and the same with your patio in the backyard. So the youngsters take the chalk colours and fill in every the tiny, rectangular bricks in different colours. Sometimes they venture in to the play house attached with their swing set and they’ll colour the walls inside too (they’re not designed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first time before I noticed, and now they know they can break free with it. Little tricksters…)

If there clearly was only one item to get us through the long summer days, it could be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not only could it be super inexpensive, but it’s perfect for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better than a “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!

And the other of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a few of the bricks on our house last year. That was a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you wish to get a scrub brush and work out how to obtain it all off. This has been there for nearly a year now, and even with pelting rains and lots of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. Perhaps I really could find a polish brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??
