We have a big box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to tell you the truth, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I think the problem (besides our creativity) is that people have an outdoor patio stone driveway and exactly the same with your patio in the backyard. So the children take the chalk colours and fill in every the small, rectangular bricks in numerous colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached to their swing set and they’ll colour the walls in there too (they’re not likely to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they could break free with it. Little tricksters…)

And the other of our baby sitters let the kids colour a several bricks on our home last year. That has been a poor idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you intend to get a polish brush and work out how to obtain everything off. This has been there for almost annually now, and despite pelting rains and a lot of snow storms it’s as bright as your day it happened. I guess I could find a wash brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??
