We have a big box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to tell you the truth, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I think the problem (besides our creativity) is that people have an outdoor patio stone driveway and exactly the same with your patio in the backyard. So the children take the chalk colours and fill in every the small, rectangular bricks in numerous colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached to their swing set and they’ll colour the walls in there too (they’re not likely to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they could break free with it. Little tricksters…)

If there clearly was only 1 item to obtain us through the long summer days, it would be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not only is it super inexpensive, but it’s great for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better when compared to a “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!

We’ve pulled together the most popular sidewalk chalk ideas into an epic list of learning activities, games, imagination spark-ers, and get-them-active ideas which will keep your chalk repertoire fresh all summer long. And many totally cool interactive chalk art you never wish to miss!

So grab your box of chalk and head outside with the kids all day of nonstop fun!

And the other of our baby sitters let the kids colour a several bricks on our home last year. That has been a poor idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you intend to get a polish brush and work out how to obtain everything off. This has been there for almost annually now, and despite pelting rains and a lot of snow storms it’s as bright as your day it happened. I guess I could find a wash brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??

This list is fantastic if you need a little inspiration to take your sidewalk chalk from the boring game of X’s and O’s or hopscotch to a fun “Wow, that’s so amazing!” adventure! You will find loads of great ideas! And better still, you are able to have a photograph from another floor window and keep the memory as a keepsake! I enjoy these ideas!

From princess crowns to under sea adventures, you will find loads of fun ideas to help you produce a whole new world in your driveway!
