We have a large box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to tell you the reality, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I do believe the issue (besides our creativity) is that people have a patio stone driveway and exactly the same with your patio in the backyard. So the youngsters take the chalk colours and fill in every the tiny, rectangular bricks in numerous colours. Sometimes they venture to the play house attached to their swing set and they’ll colour the walls within too (they’re not supposed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first-time before I noticed, and now they know they can escape with it. Little tricksters…)

And then one of our baby sitters let the children colour a several bricks on our home last year. That was a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your home unless you wish to get a polish brush and work out how to obtain all of it off. It’s been there for almost annually now, and even with pelting rains and a lot of snow storms it’s as bright as your day it happened. Perhaps I could find a scrub brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??
