We have a large box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to share with you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I think the issue (besides our creativity) is that we have a patio stone driveway and the same with our patio in the backyard. So the kids take the chalk colours and fill in every the small, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture in to the play house attached for their swing set and they’ll colour the walls within too (they’re not designed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first-time before I noticed, and now they know they could break free with it. Little tricksters…)

And the other of our baby sitters let the kids colour a few of the bricks on our home last year. That has been a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your home unless you want to get a wash brush and figure out how to have it all off. This has been there for almost per year now, and despite having pelting rains and a lot of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. Perhaps I possibly could find a scrub brush and scrub it off, but who has enough time for that??
