We’ve a huge box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to tell you the truth, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I think the situation (besides our creativity) is that people have an outdoor patio stone driveway and the exact same with this patio in the backyard. So the youngsters take the chalk colours and fill in most the small, rectangular bricks in different colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached for their swing set and they’ll colour the walls inside too (they’re not designed to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to break free with it. Little tricksters…)

Don’t colour the bricks on your house unless you intend to get a scrub brush and figure out how to obtain everything off. It’s been there for pretty much a year now, and despite pelting rains and plenty of snow storms it’s as bright as the afternoon it happened.
