We have a huge box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to tell you the reality, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the issue (besides our creativity) is that individuals have an outdoor patio stone driveway and the same with your patio in the backyard. So the children take the chalk colours and fill in every the small, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached with their swing set and they’ll colour the walls inside too (they’re not likely to, but wow, they really moved fast that first-time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to get away with it. Little tricksters…)

If there is only one item to get us through the long summer days, it could be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not just is it super inexpensive, but it’s perfect for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better when compared to a “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!

And the other of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a several bricks on the house last year. Which was a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you wish to get a scrub brush and figure out how to get all of it off. This has been there for nearly per year now, and despite having pelting rains and lots of snow storms it’s as bright as your day it happened. Perhaps I could find a polish brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??
