These sidewalk chalk ideas are so awesome! Seriously, some individuals so creative!? You can find so many fun ideas and so many great photo opportunities! I wish we had an asphalt driveway so we’re able to try more of these out in the home!
Do you get a mental block when you yourself have a blank canvas in front of you? And your children assert, “Draw something! Draw something!” – I usually wind up drawing a rose, or sometimes a range, however I’m stumped. I’m the same way with a huge blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! What are you designed to draw on a giant blank driveway!? (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).
We’ve a big box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to tell you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I do believe the problem (besides our creativity) is that individuals have an outdoor patio stone driveway and the exact same with our patio in the backyard. So the children take the chalk colours and fill in most the little, rectangular bricks in different colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached with their swing set and they’ll colour the walls in there too (they’re not supposed to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they can break free with it. Little tricksters…)
If there was only one item to have us through the long summer days, it will be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not only can it be super inexpensive, but it’s perfect for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better when compared to a “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!
We’ve pulled together the most popular sidewalk chalk ideas into an epic list of learning activities, games, imagination spark-ers, and get-them-active ideas that’ll keep your chalk repertoire fresh all summer long. Plus some totally cool interactive chalk art you don’t desire to miss!
So grab your box of chalk and head outside with your children for hours of nonstop fun!
And then one of our baby sitters let the children colour a several bricks on our house last year. That was a bad idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you wish to get a scrub brush and figure out how to get all of it off. This has been there for almost a year now, and despite having pelting rains and lots of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. I guess I could find a scrub brush and scrub it off, but who has enough time for that??
This list is fantastic if you need a bit of inspiration to take your sidewalk chalk from the boring game of X’s and O’s or hopscotch to a fun “Wow, that’s so amazing!” adventure! There are tons of great ideas! And better still, you are able to have a photograph from a second floor window and keep consitently the memory as a keepsake! I really like these ideas!
From princess crowns to under sea adventures, you will find lots of fun ideas to help you produce a whole new world in your driveway!
