Would you get a mental block when you yourself have a bare canvas facing you? And your kids say, “Draw something! Draw something!” – I usually find yourself drawing a flower, or sometimes a rainbow, but then I’m stumped. I feel the same way with a giant blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! What are you currently designed to draw on a huge blank driveway!? (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).
We’ve a large box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to share with you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I do believe the issue (besides our creativity) is that we have a patio stone driveway and the exact same with this patio in the backyard. So the children take the chalk colours and fill in all the small, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture to the play house attached to their swing set and they’ll colour the walls within too (they’re not designed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to get away with it. Little tricksters…)
If there clearly was just one item to obtain us through the long summer days, it will be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. And the other of our baby sitters let the kids colour a several bricks on our house last year. That was a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you wish to get a polish brush and work out how to obtain all of it off. It’s been there for almost annually now, and even with pelting rains and plenty of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. Perhaps I possibly could find a wash brush and scrub it off, but who has the full time for that??
