We’ve a huge box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to share with you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the issue (besides our creativity) is that we have an outdoor patio stone driveway and exactly the same with our patio in the backyard. So the youngsters take the chalk colours and fill in most the little, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached with their swing set and they’ll colour the walls inside too (they’re not likely to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to get away with it. Little tricksters…)

And then one of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a some of the bricks on our home last year. That has been a poor idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your home unless you want to get a scrub brush and work out how to have everything off. It’s been there for pretty much per year now, and despite having pelting rains and plenty of snow storms it’s as bright as your day it happened. I suppose I could find a scrub brush and scrub it off, but who has the full time for that??
