Where you select to put your chalk mosaic is important. You can wear it the sidewalk or your driveway, but are you wanting others to see it?

If you do want to fairly share the sweetness of your art with others, simply choose a spot in your garage (like we did in the picture) or the side of your house that’s within view of your street or you’ll see in the backyard when you have guests over.

Painter’s tape has a tendency to stick better on the surface of your house or garage too, with respect to the form of ground you’re working with.

Find a style you want and commence to outline it with the tape. You may need to keep your pieces short to help you build in curves and roundness since painter’s tape is straight. Once you’ve finished the outline of your design, begin to run pieces through the middle to generate various sized and shaped areas. A mixture of big and small spread evenly throughout the design gives it balance. Once you are feeling you’ve finished your taping, it’s time for you to start the fun part – filling it in with color!

The better and thicker the coverage, the more your design will pop when the tape comes off! You might need to color the very best items of the mosaic depending on the height of your kids, but why shouldn’t Mom and Dad enter the fun, too!

Once all of the spaces have now been filled completely with chalk, it’s time and energy to take the tape off. Gently peel the tape off, going slow (although it’s not messy like paint and that you do not risk smearing anything), until most of the tape has been removed. Then, stand back and admire the beautiful artwork you only created.

When you’re prepared to repeat, or consider a brand new design, simply spray it with a line to get the chalk off and allow it dry.
