We have a big box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to inform you the reality, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I think the situation (besides our creativity) is that people have an outdoor stone driveway and the exact same with our patio in the backyard. So the youngsters take the chalk colours and fill in most the tiny, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture in to the play house attached with their swing set and they’ll colour the walls in there too (they’re not designed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first time before I noticed, and now they know they can get away with it. Little tricksters…)

And the other of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a some of the bricks on the house last year. Which was a bad idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you intend to get a scrub brush and work out how to have everything off. It’s been there for pretty much annually now, and despite pelting rains and plenty of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. I suppose I really could find a wash brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??
