We have a big box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to share with you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I do believe the situation (besides our creativity) is that individuals have a patio stone driveway and the same with our patio in the backyard. So the kids take the chalk colours and fill in every the small, rectangular bricks in numerous colours. Sometimes they venture in to the play house attached for their swing set and they’ll colour the walls within too (they’re not likely to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to escape with it. Little tricksters…)

If there was only one item to obtain us through the long summer days, it would be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not merely is it super inexpensive, but it’s ideal for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better than a “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!

So grab your box of chalk and head outside with the kids all day of nonstop fun!

And then one of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a some of the bricks on our home last year. That was a bad idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your house unless you want to get a polish brush and figure out how to have all of it off. This has been there for pretty much per year now, and despite pelting rains and plenty of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. I guess I could find a polish brush and scrub it off, but who has enough time for that??
