We have a huge box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to tell you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I think the problem (besides our creativity) is that people have an outdoor patio stone driveway and exactly the same with your patio in the backyard. So the youngsters take the chalk colours and fill in every the little, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture to the play house attached to their swing set and they’ll colour the walls in there too (they’re not likely to, but wow, they really moved fast that first-time before I noticed, and now they know they can escape with it. Little tricksters…)

And the other of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a some of the bricks on the house last year. Which was a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your property unless you wish to get a scrub brush and work out how to obtain all of it off. This has been there for pretty much annually now, and even with pelting rains and lots of snow storms it’s as bright as the afternoon it happened. Perhaps I really could find a wash brush and scrub it off, but who has enough time for that??
