We’ve a huge box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to share with you the truth, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the situation (besides our creativity) is that we have an outdoor patio stone driveway and the same with your patio in the backyard. So the children take the chalk colours and fill in most the little, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached to their swing set and they’ll colour the walls within too (they’re not designed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to break free with it. Little tricksters…)

And then one of our baby sitters let the kids colour a some of the bricks on our home last year. That was a poor idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your home unless you intend to get a polish brush and figure out how to obtain everything off. It’s been there for pretty much per year now, and even with pelting rains and plenty of snow storms it’s as bright as your day it happened. I suppose I possibly could find a wash brush and scrub it off, but who has enough time for that??
