Can you get a mental block if you have a clear canvas facing you? And the kids are saying, “Draw something! Draw something!” – I usually find yourself drawing a flower, or sometimes a range, but then I’m stumped. (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).

We have a large box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to inform you the truth, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the issue (besides our creativity) is that we have an outdoor stone driveway and exactly the same with our patio in the backyard. So the youngsters take the chalk colours and fill in most the small, rectangular bricks in different colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached to their swing set and they’ll colour the walls inside too (they’re not supposed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first time before I noticed, and now they know they could break free with it. Little tricksters…)

If there is just one item to obtain us through the long summer days, it will be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not only is it super inexpensive, but it’s great for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better when compared to a “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!

We’ve pulled together well known sidewalk chalk ideas into an epic set of learning activities, games, imagination spark-ers, and get-them-active ideas that’ll keep your chalk repertoire fresh all summer long. And many totally cool interactive chalk art you do not wish to miss!

So grab your box of chalk and head outside with your kids for hours of nonstop fun!

And then one of our baby sitters let the kids colour a several bricks on our home last year. Which was a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your home unless you intend to get a wash brush and work out how to obtain everything off. It’s been there for almost a year now, and despite having pelting rains and a lot of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. I suppose I possibly could find a polish brush and scrub it off, but who has enough time for that??

This list is fantastic if you need a bit of inspiration to take your sidewalk chalk from a boring game of X’s and O’s or hopscotch to a fun “Wow, that’s so amazing!” adventure! There are tons of great ideas! And better still, you are able to take a photograph from another floor window and keep consitently the memory as a keepsake! I really like these ideas!

From princess crowns to under sea adventures, you will find lots of fun ideas to help you make a whole new world in your driveway!

This Halloween silhouette art is a fun and spooky idea that kids will love! Kids will learn easy watercolor techniques and add their own spooky touches to make easy painting unique.
