Do you get a mental block when you yourself have a blank canvas in front of you? And your children assert, “Draw something! Draw something!” – I usually end up drawing a flower, or sometimes a rainbow, but I’m stumped. I feel the same way with a huge blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! What have you been designed to draw on a huge blank driveway!? (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).

We’ve a huge box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to tell you the facts, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I think the issue (besides our creativity) is that individuals have an outdoor patio stone driveway and the same with your patio in the backyard. So the kids take the chalk colours and fill in most the tiny, rectangular bricks in numerous colours. Sometimes they venture in to the play house attached for their swing set and they’ll colour the walls inside too (they’re not designed to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they can escape with it. Little tricksters…)

If there was only 1 item to get us through the long summer days, it will be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not only is it super inexpensive, but it’s ideal for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better than the usual “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!

We’ve pulled together the most popular sidewalk chalk ideas into an epic set of learning activities, games, imagination spark-ers, and get-them-active ideas that’ll keep your chalk repertoire fresh all summer long. And many totally cool interactive chalk art you never want to miss!

So grab your box of chalk and head outside with your children for hours of nonstop fun!

And the other of our baby sitters let the kids colour a several bricks on the house last year. That was a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your house unless you want to get a polish brush and work out how to have all of it off. It’s been there for almost per year now, and despite having pelting rains and plenty of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. I guess I possibly could find a scrub brush and scrub it off, but who has enough time for that??

This list is fantastic if you need a little bit of inspiration to take your sidewalk chalk from the boring game of X’s and O’s or hopscotch to a fun “Wow, that’s so amazing!” adventure! You will find lots of great ideas! And even better, you can have a photograph from another floor window and keep consitently the memory as a keepsake! I love these ideas!

From princess crowns to under sea adventures, you will find lots of fun ideas to help you produce a whole new world in your driveway!

This is my happy place!
