These sidewalk chalk ideas are very awesome! Seriously, many people so creative!? You will find so many fun ideas and so many great photo opportunities! I wish we’d an asphalt driveway so we’re able to try more of these out at home!
Would you get a mental block when you yourself have an empty canvas facing you? And your children assert, “Draw something! Draw something!” – I usually find yourself drawing a flower, or sometimes a rainbow, but I’m stumped. Personally i think exactly the same way with a giant blank driveway and sidewalk chalk, except it’s so much worse! What are you designed to draw on a huge blank driveway!? (I’d probably still draw my typical flower and rainbow…).
We’ve a huge box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to inform you the truth, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the situation (besides our creativity) is that people have a patio stone driveway and the same with this patio in the backyard. So the children take the chalk colours and fill in most the tiny, rectangular bricks in various colours. Sometimes they venture to the play house attached with their swing set and they’ll colour the walls in there too (they’re not likely to, but wow, they really moved fast that very first time before I noticed, and now they know they are able to get away with it. Little tricksters…)
If there clearly was just one item to have us through the long summer days, it would be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not only can it be super inexpensive, but it’s great for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better than a “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!
We’ve pulled together well known sidewalk chalk ideas into an epic set of learning activities, games, imagination spark-ers, and get-them-active ideas which will keep your chalk repertoire fresh all summer long. Plus some totally cool interactive chalk art that you don’t wish to miss!
So grab your box of chalk and head outside with your children all day of nonstop fun!
And then one of our baby sitters let the children colour a several bricks on our house last year. Which was a negative idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your home unless you intend to get a polish brush and work out how to get all of it off. This has been there for almost annually now, and even with pelting rains and lots of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. Perhaps I could find a wash brush and scrub it off, but who has the time for that??
This list is fantastic if you’ll need a little inspiration to take your sidewalk chalk from the boring game of X’s and O’s or hopscotch to a fun “Wow, that’s so amazing!” adventure! You will find loads of great ideas! And even better, you can have a photograph from another floor window and keep consitently the memory as a keepsake! I enjoy these ideas!
From princess crowns to under sea adventures, there are tons of fun ideas to help you create a whole new world in your driveway!
