We have a huge box of sidewalk chalk sitting in the closet right now. But to tell you the reality, we aren’t NEARLY this creative with it. I believe the issue (besides our creativity) is that individuals have an outdoor patio stone driveway and the same with your patio in the backyard. So the children take the chalk colours and fill in most the tiny, rectangular bricks in numerous colours. Sometimes they venture into the play house attached to their swing set and they’ll colour the walls within too (they’re not designed to, but wow, they really moved fast that first-time before I noticed, and now they know they could escape with it. Little tricksters…)

If there is just one item to have us through the long summer days, it will be Sidewalk Chalk for the win. Not only could it be super inexpensive, but it’s perfect for all ages and has unlimited play potential. And really, what’s better than the usual “messy” activity with NO clean-up?!

We’ve pulled together our favorite sidewalk chalk ideas into an epic set of learning activities, games, imagination spark-ers, and get-them-active ideas that will keep your chalk repertoire fresh all summer long. And several totally cool interactive chalk art that you don’t want to miss!

So grab your box of chalk and head outside with your children for hours of nonstop fun!

And the other of our baby sitters let the youngsters colour a several bricks on our house last year. That was a poor idea. Don’t colour the bricks on your home unless you wish to get a scrub brush and figure out how to have all of it off. This has been there for almost per year now, and despite pelting rains and lots of snow storms it’s as bright as the day it happened. I guess I really could find a polish brush and scrub it off, but who has enough time for that??

This list is fantastic if you will need a little bit of inspiration to take your sidewalk chalk from a boring game of X’s and O’s or hopscotch to a fun “Wow, that’s so amazing!” adventure! You will find loads of great ideas! And even better, you can have a photograph from another floor window and keep the memory as a keepsake! I enjoy these ideas!

From princess crowns to under sea adventures, you will find lots of fun ideas to help you make a whole new world in your driveway!
